I just reformatted my hard drives and re-installed XP Pro. and now I'm in the middle of re-installing all of my Flight Sim stuff. I went to program the buttons on my ForceFeedback 2 joystick, but when I try to open the page to do it, I get this error: "An exeption occurred while trying to run Shell 32.dll, Control_RunDLL joy.cpl." What is it, what does it mean, why is it doing it and finally, how do I stop it from happening? I hope some of the knowledgeable people in this forum can help me get back flying my 747.:)

Did you install the Driver CD? If so try uninstalling it, XP has drivers for most ForceFeedBack devices included and the CD's that shipped with most of these products did not support XP.

I'll uninstall the drivers and have XP install the drivers on reboot. Let's see if this fixes it. Back in a few minutes.
