hello,,,I have an older dell laptop,pentium800mhtz 128 ram,,I am looking for a good rpg to play on it in my travels...I have nwn but its really slow and lags alot...I like the ff type games...anyone know of some good rpg's that will run good on the resources i have?? BTW, nwn is an awesome game and plays well on my pc

thanks for the reply,,but i am kinda tired of the ff series,,,do you guys know of any other games along those lines that will play on my laptop,,,I really like nwn,,anything like that,,that doesnt require as much resources?,,,I can play diablo 1 on it just fine too

Baldurs Gate and its sequel should run ok on there. Possibly Icewind Dale also.

It's a little hard to get hold of, but if you have a decent mouse (NOT a touchpad or nipple) then I can reccomend "Silver" by Infogrames. It's basically a European real time action RPG, but with a distinctly Eastern feel to it. The reason you need a mouse is because the sword fighting is controlled by moving the mouse in different directions while clicking, and this would be nigh on impossible with a touchpad. It's probably one of my all time favourite games.

I ran it fine on a PIII 350MHz with a 64MB TNT2 card.

If you like the older games i love Betrayal in Antara made in the 90's. Dungen Seige is good Divine Divinity
