Hi all,

Just a quick question here:

My router may have died on me last night....power suddenly went, I tried to reset it - nothing happened (I did make sure the plug is working ;) ) I know this may sound completely stupid, but is there anything else I can do or did my router simply break and I need a new one? I'm well annoyed as I only had the router about 14 months or so.

In case I need to burry my router and get myself a new one - any suggestions? I need a wireless router, 2-3 laptops have to be connected, with the router and 1 laptop on the ground floor and the others on 1st floor.
Don't really wanna spend more than about £50. We did have problems before with getting a good signal on the first floor.....does that mean I have to get a better router than the one we had till now? (Belkin....don't remember which one exactly).

Thank you very much for any response!!

:)

Well, if you have no lights on the router, and the P/S is good, I suspect it's dead. :D

I'd buy a router that has a removable antenna and use a hi-gain antenna for additional signal range, it's more effective than trying to buy a "high power" router.
