Hello all, I appreciate your time. I need to restore the factory settings on my Acer Laptop and I have tried many things to no avail. I don't have a disc and I reinstalled WIN Vista with a burned disc years ago and none of the Acer software it came with are installed. Please help, I can answer any question. Thank you all!

I am not sure what we can suggest possible solutions without knowing what you have already tried. We could just be repeating things that you have tried and did not work.

If your laptop did not come with a recovery partition (possibly hidden) on the hard drive, the only way to get it to full, fresh from the factory condition is to use factory-supplied recovery discs for that model. They would be the only ones that would include any pre-installed software that came with the laptop. Retail versions of MS-Windows would only have the basic Windows operating system and generic drivers to get enough usability from the hardware so that one can then install hardware-specific drivers from other sources.

RoboNuts08:
What is the model name and model number of your Acer laptop?
What is the exact SNID number and serial number on it?
What is the exact Windows version on its Certificate-Of-Authenticity sticker?

It is an Acer Aspire 4330 Series Model No. JAL90
Serial:LXAU10Y003841170AD1601
SNID: 84109438116
WINDOWS VISTA HOME BASIC

Thank you all much for your time!

The serial number and SNID number that you provided are both "not found" at the Acer support site.
The Acer Aspire 4330 series laptop is listed there.
It has 18 drivers listed for Windows Vista 32/64-bit and 16 drivers listed for Windows 7 32/64-bit.
Most of the drivers for it are dated 2008 - 2009, so that gives an indication how old it is.

When your laptop was brand new, it came with a built-in app called Acer eRecovery Management.
That was used to factory reset your laptop back to its original new condition, complete with all the apps that came installed in it.
When you used a burned disc several years ago to re-install Windows Vista, you probably destroyed the ability to factory reset it.

From what I can determine, your laptop (model # 4330 JAL90) came with these specs:
Intel Celeron T1600 1.66 GHz dual core processor
1 GB DDR2-667 MHz RAM
160 GB hard disk drive
Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit

In my opinion, you should retire your laptop to being a paperweight or a doorstop.
