Restore boot disk

I would like to format my system. The guy who did it for me the last time, installed Windows XP for me. He then left me a Restore boot disk and two Image CD's to restore and install XP.

I'm trying to do it by myself and I want to know if I have to put the boot disk in the floppy disk drive before I start the computer or after. I'm not sure and I don't remember how I was supposed to do it.

He should have labled them (1,2,3 or A,B,C or whatever), but if you know which one is the boot disc,put IT in the A: drive first.
