Can anyone please help me.....its been a few days that I've noticed tha EXPLORER is not listed in my task manager list. I know it is runnin cause everything else works. But if its running why is it not listed? In the past I used to do ctl alt del and would see Explorer, but now I dont?

Any ideas why?

I ran hijackthis, I don't know if it will be useful but here it is.

Thank you for your help.

Daniela

You have some stuff there that should be removed in any event.
Rescan and put a check next to each of these then close all browser windows and click "fix checked"

In any event explorer.exe is still running on your pc but only heaven knows wht task manager doesn't show it..If you will look in the top portion of the hijack log where the running processes are listed you can see Explorer.exe.

Try running the CoolWebShredder (CWShredder.exe) available here and have it "fix" problems. Then reboot and post another Scanlog.

http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

Also check and Fix this item in the Scanlog:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [winactive] C:\PROGRAM FILES\WINDOW ACTIVE\WINACTIVE.EXE

Then reboot and delete the "window active" folder

This has to go as well: O19 - User stylesheet: c:\windows\my.css

I would also recommend doing full scans with Ad-aware and Spybot:

Thanks everyone for your kind help.

It seems that the problem was look2me that got installed on my computer. I simply disinstalled it and now I've got my explorer back in my task manager.

Thanks again:)
