Repairing disk Errors

748 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  KIngCobra1
I am currently trying to run an old Lenovo G50-45. The OS runs on Windows 8, and Every time the computer boots up, it repetitively goes through a process of “Diagnosing your PC”, “Preparing Automatic Repairs”, and “Repairing disk errors. This might take over an hour”. Due to this, I can no longer access the home screen/login page. Is there any way whatsoever to fix this?

(Please try to explain the process of fixing it in a simplistic way if possible)

What happens when you just let it do it's thing and self repair?
Just let it run and see what happens, as each time you shut down during a repair, just may be adding to the problem. Might try running it over night.

It has ran for 28 hours straight with no such luck. It'll just reboot after being on the "Repairing Disk Errors" for about 5-25 minutes, and this process just repeats continually.
