So im trying to learn about a particular biological concept but when I search for it I basically only get research papers on the topic and not something more basic and explanatory.
Is there any way to remove academic results from a web search.

Wikipedia is what you want.
You could try putting a minus sign before any words you do not want in the search results, like
-research
which will filter out any results with the word research in the title
Okay thanks guys, doesn't really work but somewhat better than before
You can search in Wikipedia too. not just google.
Have you tried DuckDuckGo, or Bing? There are other search engines besides google.
Dogpile is a meta search engine. https://www.dogpile.com/ It grabs results from quite a few other search engines. You might find one that is more suitable to what you are looking for.
Perhaps if you tell us what you're searching for we can help to narrow it down.
I resigned to reading the academic papers, although slow does cover the material in question but in too much detail unfortunately
Thanks anyway

I don't understand what this means?

I take it you don't want to reveal what you're searching for and that's fine. But you could try putting "basic" or "for dummies" (not saying you're a dummy but you know there are a lot of good resource materials that have that in their titles) in your search criteria which may filter out some of the unwanted more detailed stuff.

It is a simple concept of Googling. if you want to be professional in Google and want to see the results as per your thinking then you have to google it by particular keywords.

In your case, you want to eliminate the research papers and want your Biological concept then you have to google like this -:

"Reproductive System" means within double quotes you have to write your query.

Hope this answer helped you
Thank You

Log into Google on your scholar page, then select the article. Clicking on the offending article, to go onto its page. Once on the page for the article, there should be a delete option.
