I want to remove about 8 items from the right click context menu either in Explorer or while on the Desktop.

I read an article that said all you had to do was edit the Registry by doing a search for ShellNew and remove the entire key if you didn't want any of them. I did this several times and did find all of them at least 5 times. But they are still there.

What is the secret for getting rid of these items?

Thanks.

Broni,

Is this safer to use than editing the Registry?

I basically use Vista now and was able to get rid of the ones I wanted to on this one, but I still use XP once in a while and I know that at one time it was a rather simple procedure. I checked another board where I probably would have gotten info when I primarily used XP but couldn't find anything.

Will this program actually get rid of them or just "hide" them?

Thanks.
