You didn't describe your computer(brand name, model name, model number), nor did you advise how many hard drives/partitions it has.
Does it have a single internal hard drive in 3 partitions(C, D, E), and with Windows 8 installed in the C partition?
What type of personal data(documents, photos, music, etc.) is in the D and E drives/partitions?
Don't you back up your personal data to external media on a regular basis?
