i restored my comp. back to factory settings now everytime im on it after about 10 min. i get a message saying system shutdown initiated by NT Authority\system it says the remote procedure call was unexpectedly terminated please help!!!!!!

This is ano old windows exploit worm.

If you have an firewall, install it.
Then go to Start> Programs> Update Windows and update the patches relating to the above error first.

Hope that helps. There are direct patch fixers but if you have a firewall (Norton etc) then you may as well use windows updates.

you have the blaster virus, you will have to donload the tool to your desktop and then disconnect from internet to download it.

download this patch

make sure system restore is off and download removal tool,
