I have come accross some old Windows (prob 3.1) Cardfile files, that I wouldn't mind having a look at to see if there is anything still useful in them, anybody know of a programme or utility that can convert them into a readable format ?

have you checked out the posts under Business Applications?
try my suggestion from acouple of days ago:

I sent cardfile.txt, download and just change the extension back to *.exe and it works
