Hello all:

I hope this is the right forum to place this:

I'm on a shared computer, and another user has downloaded all sites of spyware/garbage that is slowing down and affecting the computer's performance.

I ran *Ad-aware 6.0* and *Spybot- Search and Destroy 1.2* and I found that I have some things buried on my registry.

I tried to delete what Spybot showed me, but the garbage keeps re-appearing.

It is:

Xupiter. OrbitExplorer: User settings HKEY_USERS\DEFAULT\CLSID\{0FDA4D2B-7975-405-d-8D7C-F5E2247EAE80}

I've been trying on and off for months to get rid of this, but I'm getting nowhere.

The same person who downloaded this has other programs like "Purity Scan" that appear and reappear, too.

Thanks in advance!

It would be a good idea to download Hijack This and post a scan log for the epxerts to take a look at.
Please do this. Click here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloadg...a8baee6434cfc13
to download Hijack This. Save it to it’s own folder (not temporary files). Click on the Hijackthis.exe.

Close all open windows and open HIJACK THIS. Click “Scan”. When the scan is finished (it only takes a second), the scan button will change to “Save Log”. Click on “Save Log” and save it to NotePad. Copy the entire log and paste it here.

DO NOT FIX ANYTHING YET, most items that appear in the log are harmless or even needed. Wait for someone to analyze the scan and advise.
