My wife loves Incredimail but it has failed and tech support is dismal to none. I read an ad for "Registry Smart" that guarentees to fix Incredimail problems and a host of other problems. Anyone have any experience with this product? Or, what works better? Thanks..ez

I'd never use anything I found via ads. It's just like saying "come here, buy this". If a product is good people will naturally talk about it and refer.

Go to their site and find how to remove the program. I believe this is the only way to remove it safely. Then reinstall, if it is that important.

Be aware that most registry cleaners are useless. Its actually possible to clean the registry to a point where many things will not work properly or Windows itself won't even start.

Hi Ccleaner is good program. just be aware when using the issues section [Reg Cleaner]
As with any Reg cleaner it's up to the user to take control and read what entries the cleaner says are invalid and make an informed choice as to what is deleted.
Once deleted if they are windows files they are gone for good.

When you run the reg cleaner, by default, before it does anything, it asks if you want to make a back-up first. Always do this. I have never had a problem but there is always the first time. I recommend reading the user guide b4 using. It answers a lot of questions and will save you asking. They have their own forum and will be happy to assist you with any ? that does arise. This program is designed to be safe which means it may not be as thorough as some others but your computer will still work after using it.

Hi back-ups are only good if you can reboot your system.
Many have used a Reg cleaner and wished they hadn't.
I have 3 on this system alone..but never allow the cleaner to decide what's invalid to this system..have learnt the hard way.

Indeed, a backup of the changes is useless if Windows fails to start, so I can't really say thats safe.

Acronis True Image is your friend if you insist on "cleaning" your registry.

But save the image to an external hard drive or other media; not the main drive.

i seen the same ad for registry smart and it said it would fix incredimail so i downloaded it and ran it and it found lots of problems but the catch is that u have to register it and get a key and buy it in order for it to remove all the problems so i did buy it and i run it often but it has done nothing to fix incredimail that i can see. however, i guess it has fixed a lot of other problems.

Regseeker works well and theres different ways to control the search, deletion etc if you want to look for sonmething specific and it backsup any changes.

All Registry Cleaners say you use their program at your own risk.
More often than not the risk isn't worth it.

i have went to the uninstall incredimail and clicked on repair incredimail. i have repaired it several times but it doesn't seem to help either at least not the graphic images in the emoticon center.incredimail suggested i uninstall and reinstall incredimail but i didn't want to lose everything in my stylebox that it took so long to get.it says if u uninstall it to back up your data in case u want to use it again in the future but i don't know how to do that or save what is in my stylebox.any ideas? thanks!

Regseeker is 100% free. I've downloaded it and use it once a week or so to keep the registry clean.
