I have registered my Pump Design Code (PDC) home page as http://mysite.verizon.net/pdspring/index.htm with AltaVista, Google, All The Web and MSN three months ago. These sites all accepted my homepage. Today, when making a search for "pump design software" I can't find anything. What could be wrong?

How search engines add sites to their index generally works in two ways:

You submit it to their search engine, but this way there is no gaurantee that you will get add to the search list.

They find a link to your site when doing a index of another site. Just make sure you add your site name to your signature and post on a few popular message boards. This way you are guaranteed to get picked up. Just your post before should be enough.

Thanks for your quick reply. Do you mean that my post on techguy is the equivalent to a post on a message board? I am green on message boards. What are some of the popular message boards and how do you write to them?
