Lately I have been having networking problems that I just don't understand. Suddenly some websites and applications will not connect, while others work fine. For example, I might be able to access Wikipedia, but not Google. Firefox will give me "Server not found error." rather than an error regarding connectivity. During this time, I may also be able to chat using Google Talk, but not be able to get a connection through iTunes.

This only seems to happen on my computer; there are two computers on my network. Resetting the power to the modem and router does not work, nor does repairing my connection or restarting Windows. The problem just seems to subside after a while, but is recurring.

Any ideas?

Top suspect here would be malware. I'd start with complete virus and malware scans.
