I like Ekahau software to do WiFi design predicted heatmap and AP locations; however, due to budget and cost, Ekahau is not an other. Does anyone have any alternative recommendation and have use the similar tool that can also do predicted heatmap? Thanks.

Interesting. Never heard of them. Just looked at their website. Seems intriguing. When I was selling Aruba Networks, they provided an RF planning tool that created heat maps based on the AP you're using. Does this Ekahau have specific manufacturers/APs that you can select to create a heat map?
