I fully endorse Del's comments concerning eTrust.
I am using InoculateIt Personal Edition which was freeware until its makers Computer Associates discontinued it last June and replaced it with a buyware version which is now eTrust. However, CA undertook to continue to provide virus signature updates to the registered users of InoculateIt for as long as they had the program installed on their computers. Consequently, I am continuing to use IPE and will do so until such time as major upgrades to eTrust make its purchase advisable.
InoculateIt is still available from some sites, this being one of them, and virus updates can be obtained by going to Tools in the program's menu bar and clicking on AutoDownload.
