I am receiving emails from supposed yahoo since August. The emails from August tells that "after tomorrow, 20 of October 2020" the access to yahoo email will change. I believe this is a scam, because the email was from August and they mention a date of October saying "tomorrow". Each few weeks I am receiving an email like that. The email apparently comes from info@comms.yahoo.net. The email suggest to download an yahoo email application for iphone or android. Thing is, I am using Thunderbird to download my emails. My husband is also getting this supposed emails from yahoo. We are just ignoring it because we believe it to be a spam. Anyone receiving similar emails?

This is from the Yahoo! support section:

Maybe it will help. I didn't look into it. Hopefully they've got an admin email address where you can pose this question. You are likely correct in that it is spam.

As posted in my link, there was a class action lawsuit against Yahoo and the extension is .net and not .com
So the service.comms.yahoo.net is legitimate. It is from a law group. If it doesn't include the word service, it is not legitimate.
