OK, my computer has a headphone jack on the front for easy access. If I plug headphones in, I get a lot of white noise. When I tried to plug the headphones into the speaker jack on the back, I get the same white noise. When speakers are plugged in, there isn't any white noise, and when I plug the headphones into my MP3 player, they sound fine.
So what the heck? I'm stumped.
EDIT: This is VERY odd. I tried playing some music - it nearly blew out my eardrums (hyperbole). But seriously, my keyboard volume control is at 1 now, and my WMP volume was set to 2 for a comfortable volume. It's almost like the headphones are set to be TOO loud. Any ideas?
