RAM Question

i have SIMM 72 pin sockets for my ram and i have 2 8mb Simm's and 2 4 mb simm's for a total of 24 MB. I found a 16 MB SIMM. Can i put that in place of a 4 MB or do i need another 16 MB for it to work
