Hi everybody :
I recently came across some terms for RAM chips. One is "Single-Sided". And the other is "Double-Sided". I have an older board, the Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H Motherbord. And in the manual, it does list using either. And, showing in the manual, what RAM slots to use for either. I'm not sure WHAT the difference is. And HOW to use either. Advice ? Thanks.........garystan

Single side memory modules have memory chips on one side, double sided modules have memory chips on both sides. There's no difference to using them provided the motherboard supports either one and both both types as ost modern boards seem too, if the motherboard manual says to only use one type then you would need to be sure to use the right type. Some older boards would restrict the amount of memory when using one type over the other.
