I just fininshed a build using an ASUS P4S800D-E Deluxe motherboard. I installed XP pro and didnt install the raid drivers when asked to do so. The operating system is installed on a IDE drive and I've got 2 sata drives that I installed after I installed the operating system. I want to configure a JBOD raid but I think I screwed up by not installing the raid drivers when promted to do so! I dont want to do a complete reinstall to put the drivers in.

You can install the RAID drivers on the running system, then use a disk cloning application to move it to the SATA drives if desired.

Sounds like a good idea, but I would need a walk through to accomplish this feat! lol
I'm about ready to scratch the Sata drives and install another IDE drive for storage. I'll use the Sata drives on my next build. Thanks for the help.

Installing the RAID drivers on a running system (obviously on an IDE channel) is very simple, just like any other driver install.

Cloning to the SATA drive is accomplished by using any of the popular imaging utilities. I use Acronis True Image, but there are others that will do the trick as well.
