I've been using the standard 64k stripe on my raid 0, raptor 36's on an intel 875pbz board, xp sp2. I'm not so sure how much faster it is than a single drive which I recently loaded up fresh and felt it was moving abit faster.
I do alot of digital photo work..

Would I get a bit more speee by changing the stripe size, and to what...higher or lower, is faster ?

Thanks

If you do a lot of video type work, make the size bigger. If you work with a lot of small files, make the size smaller. As to the performance increase with raid0, I see about a 30% increase in disk speed. I run 2 80 gig 8 meg cache drives in raid0.

With raid0 make sure you have some type of backup plan. If one drive of a raid0 array dies, you will loose everything. I run a third [non raid] drive to backup important info.
