Is that canadian, tobagon or american dollars. If the first yes, if the second - hell yes, if the third yes - if you need the extra firepower.

The XT is only worth it if you what to see higher frames per second while gaming it is a higher clocked version of the pro. It may be worth invesigating the idea of overclocking a pro card yourself just make sure it has a good cooler on the GPU and the RAM you should be able to raise the speed on the RAM and GPU.

If money isn't a issue or if you're into gaming then the 9800Pro would be worth the extra money.

As for overclocking the PRO to XT. Yes it works, but you risk problems with stock cooling or have the expense of buying extra cooling. Or if you get a poor 9800 then it moght not overclock more then a few megahertz.

What is the price of the 9600XT versus the 9800 Pro?

Yes definitely !!!!! They use two different processors and the 9800 Pro is as good as it gets in video cards (minus the AIW 9800Pro). I think toms hardware had a review and compared them, along with the nVidia. 9800 Pro won in every class :D
