I have a Radeon 9200. Went to the ATI website, and downloaded the 6.11 package, which seems to be relatively new.
Shall I still use the older 6.5 package for my card?

Do NOT cancel it and do NOT point it to the ATI drivers. Simply press NEXT and FINISH all the way through the wizard. THEN run the ATI driver setup.botham2002 said:cancel it and install the driver using the Setup.exe provided in the package.
Triple6, that's my scenario 2. In that case it doesn't find a suitable driver, and finishes without installing anything. Only if in this scenario I give it the specific path does it install the Radeon9200 driver but it shows the yellow ! later on.Triple6 said:Do NOT cancel it and do NOT point it to the ATI drivers. Thats right, thats what should happen and that is the 'standard vga' driver that the installer is looking for.botham2002 said:Triple6, that's my scenario 2. It continues to show me the yellow !. I can then install a new driver and that shows the same issue.Triple6 said:Thats right, thats what should happen and that is the 'standard vga' driver that the installer is looking for.
Tried the Omega drivers, but it didn't make any difference. I still see the yellow ! against the driver, and it is not working.botham2002 said:I'll try installing the Omega drivers and see if they behave any differently.
