I would like to know, before I post, if it would be approved to post other technical help and support sites on TSG?

I believe it is against the rules to post links to other forums here, did you read the rules in the link at the top of the forum page?

Spamming/Advertising - You cannot post advertisements of any sort in any forum. This includes products, services, or web sites from which you'd directly or indirectly benefit in any way.

Thanks for the input johnwill. I would not benefit in any way from the link to the web site. I was just thinking that it would be advantages in some cases to finding a solution to a problem. But your right in mentioning that it would be an advertisement of sorts to post a link to an alternate technical support site.

I will not post it.

OTOH
posters regularly put links to other, more specialized sites (ie Microsoft :)) to cite their source for a possible fix or further detail and info.

eg: a few recent threads about cable broadband settings listed at least three other sites

many posters also have tech forum/site links in their sigs too, either ones they regularly use, or in some cases ones they operate

all depends on why the link or reference is there IMO

try it, see if the wrath of the mods falls upon your poor head ;)

Lance...I tweaked the avatar for this site specifically.....and although imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, a bit of originality goes further... ;)
