I plan on buying the Logitech z5300 5.1 speakers and just wanted to know, since my laptop doesnt have 5.1 output, could I still be able to use these speakers for my laptop? How would music sound on them without 5.1? They would mainly be used for music yes and movies. What is the best option? Will I only be able to run the main L and R speakers? Should I get a new sound card? But how would I add 5.1 to a laptop. Ext sound card?

If I have no use for 5.1 on my laptop then I would get Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 which is same price as these.

You might be able to get a USB sound card that supports them.
