I won't bore you with why I am asking, but is there any appreciable difference in the performance of a 52X32X52 CD-W and a 48X24X48 CD-W, assuming that all other things are equal? Thanks, Grandpaw7

Nah, you wouldn't notice the difference unless you were constantly burning stuff...it may make a few seconds difference on each CD that gets burnt, but it's not worth upgrading from a 48 to a 52.
