This is my roomate's PS2 & network adapter. He nolonger has the NA setup disk for it, but I do have Socom II which allows you to setup a connection on it. The router is a Motorola WR850G. We have 3 laptops connected to the router wirelessly. The PS2 is plugged into it via ethernet cable.

After messing with it for a while trying different things, I did get it to work (I don't really know how). I was playing Call of Duty 3 online the other night when it froze, so I shut it off and went to bed. The next day I tried to play online again with the same game and it says "The network cable is not connected". Also, an orange light comes on over the port # that it's connected to (i dunno if that's normal or not).

But, when I unhook the router and connect the PS2 directly to the cable modem, it's works great.

I don't know what to do. I've went through the setup settings on the Socom disk more than once, plugged it into different router ports, I don't know what's going on. After I setup a new network configuration it tests the connection and says it's good, but then when I try the game it says it isn't connected.

I really need to fix this cause I can't just unhook my router and kick both my roomates off the internet everytime I wanna play COD.

Please help.

I guess I could just buy another cable modem, but spending another $60 seems a little rediculous when I have a perfectly good router (or at least i think I do).
