I'm posting to ask if anyone knows of a program I can download, or a utility available in Windows 10, which will allow me to set a time for my PC to shut down, without giving me an option to abort?
I have horrible self control when it comes to getting to sleep on time (Evidenced by it being 5 AM, and I work at 9.), and this would really help me.
The most important part is it leaving me with no option. If there's a prompt giving me the choice to postpone, or cancel, I don't trust myself not to push it and keep gaming.
I just want a big, inevitable timer that leads to a full system shutdown, with nothing I can do but prepare (Save any progress I've made, etc.)
Buy a cheap AC power timer and plug it into the outlet, with your PC plugged into it. Superglue the pegs of the timer to a specific time, so they can't be moved. Now you can use your PC only for the allotted time, and if you unplug the timer to "get around it", you'll suffer a power loss to your PC and lose your work and have to hard-boot your PC again.
