I have a Toshiba laptop running XP home. It has three profiles. One of the accounts seems to be corrupt and most of my settings have been lost. Okay, I can live with that but now everytime I log on I resetup the desktop and when I reboot, everything is all erased again. Any help to fix this problem will be appreciated.

Hi videocheez

  1. Create a new Windows User Account,
  2. Login to the new User Account once, to create the necessary file structure,
  3. Logoff from the newly created User Account
  4. Login to a User Account that is not the New Account or the corrupted account.
  5. Copy the corrupt User Account to the new User Account:
