everytime I click or do anything, sign online XP reboots the whole system. I am also running 98 se on the C drive. The XP Home I am on is on the D drive. Both drives are partitioned in FAT32 format. Could it have something to do with the dual booting?

Also I am constantly getting this error when I sign on to XP:

First I get "the system has recovered from a serious error" then I click for the information and get the following:

The error has something to do with this:

Also when I boot in XP is says it is checking the drives for consistency. This happens everytime I boot up. Is this normal?

bumping this, for someone to read *sigh*

edit: found out the rebooting can be something with a device driver not updated or not compatible. But I am not sure what one. Although, if I had to guess, it would be my modem. I'm not sure if it works with XP. I'm online, but it makes funny dial tone noises when signing on.

Disable automatic restarts, so you get a BSOD and (hopefully) the error message you need to resolve the problem.

The problem is unlikely to be FAT32 related.

To disable restarts, Control Panel - System - Advanced - Startup and Recovery - Settings - uncheck "automatically restart"
