I would try replacing the cmos battery, and reset your bios settings to the default settings, if these don't work, I don't know.

Replacing the battery and clearing cmos will not cost much. It should be a 2032 battery. These are available at any office store, walmart, battery store, etc. Before doing anything, remove the pw cord from the pw supply. Now open the case and replace the battery. When done, clear cmos with the clear pins/jumper. Read your manual as to the location and procedure.
If that does not fix the problem, it is not cost effective to repair your hardware. That system is now 12yr old and well past useful life.

It is a hardware error; usually related to ram, ram controller, etc.
If you really, really want to try and fix this system [as a learning experience] I would pull out ALL ram. Blow the slots out with a can of air. Replace the ram and be sure it is fully seated. If you have more than one ram chip, try the boot with each one.
Note be sure and pull the pw cord from the rear of the pw supply then press the ON button 2~3 times. This will remove any residual charge from the pw supply. Before doing the above task.

As I said, it is not cost effective to repair 12yr old hardware.

I know this is probably not what you want to hear, but you can buy a later edition motherboard, with a CPU and some memory/ram for under $100.00 on eBay. I say this because I have bought many on ebay for around $100.00 and they're all still working great.
