HELP!!!!
I am using Windows Vista for nearly 2 years and all of a sudden I have a problem with Ancestry.co.uk. The problem is that I am trying to change my card details and low and behold this message comes up "The web page at null might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address" with Error 103 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_ABORTED): Unknown error. Now this is whilst using Google Chrome.

So I go into Internet Explorer and try there and the same happens again but with ERROR 403 aaahhhhh!!!!!

I am logged on as Administrator and have been trying to sort this our for 5 days now. I cannot get in touch with Ancestry as it will not allow me to do so.

Can anyone help a very hot (temps 35° in S.France) frustrated lady

Did the problem start when you installed IE8?

Try these one at a time and see if it allows you to connect.

1) Make sure your clock is correct and also set for your time zone.
Time zones can be found by right clicking on the clock in the
system tray.

2) Go here, read about and install CCleaner. Freeware/Donationware.
It can clean more junk files than just IE itself does. Often, temporary
internet files, history, cookies can block access to sites.

http://www.ccleaner.com/

3) IE->Tools-Internet Options->Security Tab. Check restricted sites
to see if somehow Ancestry got in there. Try adding it to Trusted
Sites.

4) Temporarily disable your anti-virus to determine if it is stopping
access.

(Classic View) Control Panel\User Accounts

Can you send and receive emails?
I dug a little deeper, here is the result:

You are a star I have been in touch with them and updated over the phone however they did say that I should get someone to look at my laptop as something is obviously wrong with it.

Is Ancestry the only problem you have with your computer?

For IE you said the error is 403 - check this site.
Fix error - Search Results:
http://www.fixerror.net/index.php?s=error+403&search=Search

Steps for Internet Explorer:

Step 1. Go to Tools -> Internet Options…
Step 2. Click on Connections tab
Step 3. LAN Settings…
Step 4. Tick out the proxy server
