Hi,

We have a windows XP network with win2000 server. When I try to log in from one of the xp stations with the user cad15, I receive a 1508 error message:
Windows was unable to load the registry. This is often caused by insufficient memory or insufficient security rights.
DETAIL - The system has attempted to load or restore a file into the registry but the specified file is not in a registry file format. for c:\documents and settings\cad15\local settings\application data\microsoft\windows\UsrClass.dat

The XP station logs on but logon.cmd (used for drive mapping) is not executed.
The rezult is that on that station there are no nerwork drive mapped and the search for a directory at the server is heavy. The user is configured on the server like the others (they are in the same group).
The server has DHCP but I reserved an IP for the computer with the log problem. There is Norton Security and Norton Antivirus installed on the station.
Please help me solving this problem.

Thanks a lot !
