when ever i try to open a file or anything for that matter i get this message........opening a file from this location may not be safe and is not allowed with your current security settings......please help me

The setting, where ever it is, I think has to be set back to default. This AV scan, in addition to virus, adware, spyware detection, gives options for re-setting MANY operating system settings to back to default.

Get this AV from Microsoft - Windows AntiSpyware. I just DL'ed it Sun. am, and it's the best AV app I've seen yet. Which explains why it's a 'beta' version, and expires in 40 days - end of july, I think.
