I had vista on my system. And vista crashes all the time and i cant log in on xp now. The pc restart after the welcome logo.
I tried to format my pc and replace the windows xp on my system and remove the vista from the other partition. But i have a problme here. When i choose the partition when vista was it says that i cant istall on this partition. Then i choose to install the xp on the partition the same partition as it is. When the istall goes on 11% it says that it can not find some files on the cd and some times crashes all the time like vista!

Can anyone help me please?
Thanks you all and Merry Christmas! :)

So you've successfully reinstalled Windows XP?

Do you see your important files on the hard drive?

Did you format before reinstalling?

What error messages do you receive when you install drivers for your hardware?

Are you using the CD that came with the computer to install hardware drivers?

Or are you downloading them from an internet site?

What is the manufacturer and model number of your computer?

Do you have any backups of your data on CD, DVD, floppy disk, or external hard drive?

The problem is not that you don't have Service Pack 1. I've installed Windows XP without it.

Unfortunately I can't help you any further if you can't answer the questions I posted.

Good luck with the store you bought it from.
