Problem with Date on XP home edition

Hi everybody,
you guys are my last hope before I have to bring my PC for repair and probably won't see it for weeks! I'm using Windows XP home edition, Version 5.1.2600 SP1.
Since I bought my new Sony PC "PCV-RS306", I experience the following problem: Every 3-4 days, the date changes from 2004 to 2404! The time and the day stays correct, only the year jumps by 400 years. I updated the BIOS but it didn't help. Funny enough, when I see the year 2404 on the task bar, the BIOS shows the year 1999! I also stopped the "windows time" service but without success.
Has anyone experienced anything similar and can anybody help me out here? My dealer nor Sony TAC can solve my problem.
Thanks a million

I have no idea how to solve your problem, but I was just curious if you look out your window when it says you've just jumped 400 years..... :D
