I have a problem. When I try to import the AC/DC remasters from CD to iTunes, many of the tracks are corrupted, you know, with clicks and cut-outs in the audio. This hasn't happened with many other CDs.

Does anyone have any idea how I can stop this?

EAC is Exact Audio Copy. Its a well regarded program that is designed to rip CD's. In a nutshell, it tries to rip an exact copy of the CD, without loss. It's error correcting abilities allows it to rip damaged discs. A lot of audiophile folks like to use this program. Best of all, its free.

LAME is the encoder to make MP3's. It works in conjunction with a other programs, such as EAC. It's generally considered the best encoder to make MP3's. It's also free.

The most difficult part of EAC is setting it up, but if you're an intermediate user, you should be fine.

EAC can be found here: http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/
LAME here: http://lame.sourceforge.net/index.php
