Prior Version Google Chrome won't open after System Restore

2593 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Jimbo66
I cleared and deleted all my internet history and tabs by accident recently on Google Chrome on Windows 10. I had a ton of tabs and was doing some important research for an assignment. I did a system restore because I read you can recover your tabs that way. It restored the system to an earlier date but now Google Chrome will not open that prior version and I'm afraid that I may have lost everything. Please help, it's an emergency! Thank you!

Recovering tabs is not the same as recovering the history. Recovering tabs is in an event when Chrome crashes and you restart Chrome.

If you cleared out your History (CTRL+H) then you will not get that history back.

edit: out of interest... if you hold down CTRL+SHIFT and then press T, does that bring up old tabs? Not sure if that info gets lost as well. It will work on an active browser but not sure if it does if the session is closed.

I tried that and whatever else I could find. Thank you.
