Needing to print out web page that I am building. For some reason this computer it is only printing out part of the page then goes on to the next page.
When I go to the other computer that is networked to the printer it prints up fine. Have been experiencing this problem for a while.
Any Answers?

i am currently running xp on a new hp pavilion. hope these settings will help.
go to file,
page set up,

when that opens, make sure letter size is set up for 8.5 x 11.
orientation should be portrait.

set you margins, in inches
[email protected] .25
right @ .25
top @ .6
bottom @ .6
after that, print out a page of your choice and see what happens. you might have to tweak them some, but they work perfectly for me. keep me posted. later....steaks355

hey,

thanks for the quick response; i tried the settings you suggested, but it's still cutting part of the right edge tho; it doesnt do that to all web pages, just some; may be that's just a function of the html? the reason i say that is because i hve seen some sites have a "printer friendly" option;

here's the url that i tried to print ; may be you hve better luck than me.

Here is what Microsoft has to say: Also I have found that if you do a print preview you can see what is happening and second I always look to see if it has a printer friendly version....

Only the Text at the Top of the Web Page Is Printed:
Internet Explorer version 5.5 for Windows 98
Internet Explorer version 5.5 for Windows 98 Second Edition
Internet Explorer version 5.5 for Windows 2000
Internet Explorer version 5.5 for Windows 95
To enable the use of style sheets either remove the entry named "Use StyleSheets" or change the value from "No" to "Yes" by using the following steps:
Click Start, and then click Run.
Type regedit and click OK.
Locate and click the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Internet/Explorer/Main
If the Use StyleSheets is displayed in the right pane of Registry Editor perform one of the following steps:
To remove this key, right-click Use StyleSheets and click Delete.
or

Change the value from "No" to "Yes". To do this double-click Use StyleSheets, change "No" to "Yes", and then click OK.
Close Registry Editor
NOTE:
If the entry does not exist, you are able to use style sheets.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
Doesn't print correctly from the internet. :
This is usually related to the printer drivers not being compatible with the newer versions of IE and OEX.
Look to Printers webpage and download the most recent drivers for the printer and install them.
To be sure you get a clean install, I'd suggest you first delete the printer and then reinstall it using the new drivers.
Printing part of a web site page:
Select the part of the page you want to print
Click on File
Click on Print
Put a tick or check in the "Selection"
Click OK
Using Netscape you cannot use "Selection" you have to choose certain pages or all pages.

Okay let me make this simple. If you don't want to fool with the registry MS is saying to make sure you have your printer drivers updated and make sure they are the latest out.

If you are running XP the registry probably wouldn't effect you.

try changing your left and right margins to less than .25
also, i agree with rkselby, your printer driver may be updated as well. print preview is a good tool to use. you can even change the percent of the view to see what all is being printed.
good luck. steaks355

I dont think my printer driver needs to be updated b/c i updated it when i upgraded from me to 2k pro, so it's just a matter of playing with the print settings/margins, etc...

thanks a lot you guys for your input! :)
