'Microsoft Visual C Runtime Library
Runtime Error
Program C \wndows\system32\spool\Drivers\W32X86\3\LXCEtime.exe
Has requested Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way'

from what I've gathered, one way to get past this is to DELETE every entry that includes the word lexmark from the registry....

Needless to say, if you decide to go this route, you should backup your registry...

What are your system specs, btw? SLOW gaming is usually an indication that your system can't handle the game, and not necessarily a hardware or software issue. Different games may run just fine.

Post back what your computer is...

HELP! now my desktop shortcuts suddenly wont work,I think I'm losing the will to live! Any suggestions apart from buying a new computer?
i didnt want to say earlier but you sound like you need to reload your operating system, this will require you to back up any important data on the drive if you can, erase the drive, reload operating system, hardware drivers, programs etc,
before you do this you must make sure you have all your motherboard drivers, graphics card drivers, etc.
I would also download the diagnostic program for your hard drive and run this to make sure your hdd is in good working order, this program is run from a 1.44 floppy or burned to a cdrom, once your hdd tests ok, then loading OS can begin.
