i have a bjc-4100 printer and i am running windows me. when i go to print something the printer goes through the motions but doesn't print.I put new cartridges in so it isn't out of ink.
A friend gave me the printer and said only sometimes it didn't print but the ink cartridges were empty. They didn't give me a driver for it so I downloaded one off the internet.
Hoping someone can help me.

try restarting it and see if it still does it, and cancel all your print jobs

If the printer is used infrequently the jets can become clogged with dried up ink, does it have a cleaning program?

I have restarted my computer already. I also had to re-install windows me. this did not change anything.
I just wonder if the drivr i downloaded could do this or could it be a problem with the cartridge holder?
