Hello,

I use a HP Desk-Jet 500 at home.

I've never had any problems until now.

For some reason I can only "print" blank pages.


I've checked the cable, reinstalled the driver and checked the cartridge which appears to be about 1/3 full.

Can any one suggest what be the cause of the problem ?

When you say you checked the cable have you tried the "toolbox" test for communication? I think that version of the software for the HP 500 checks the connectivity.

Have you tried printing in RAW without spooling?

Have you tried cleaning the HP cartridges? The nozzles on the bottom can get clogged. To clean them just use a Q-Tip with some alcohol and remove all the ink, or set it on a wet paper towel to soak the ink.
