I all of a sudden am getting pop up from precision pop. It is making through my panicware pop up stopper. Also when I open my browser it 1st shows me an ad. Instead of my home page. I located a file named precpop2.exe. But when I try to delete it. I get Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use. Any Ideas ?

Great! But you should still get AdAware and see what else it finds.

The free (Standard) version works fine. Update it with the latest profiles before you run it (click on the globe at top).

I would also recommend that you post a Hijack This log to be sure you don't have any other unwanted guests.
Please do this. Click here to download Hijack This. Un Zip it and click on the Hijackthis.exe.
Click the "Scan" button when the scan is finished the scan button will become "Save Log" click that and save the log.
Go to where you saved the log and click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" then Paste the log back here in a reply.
DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required. Someone here will be glad to advise you on what to fix.
*Note: When you download Hijack This Do Not download it or UnZip it to a temp folder or to the desktop. Create a permanent folder somewhere like in My Documents and name it Hijack This and put it in that folder.

flrman1 is right. I didn't want to overburden you, but that program you had is no doubt just the tip of the iceberg.
AdAware is good for regular maintenance (keep it updated) and HijackThis will show us what else you need to clean out now.
You will be surprized at how much better your machine will run once you clean out all this junk. And your home page won't keep changing, either ;-).
