Hi,

I am trying to help a friend to install powerpoint viewer from the microsoft website. He is running WindowsXP. I also have WindowsXP and had no problems downloading the program from the microsoft website......any ideas on why this is a problem for him?

He receives a error that states: No file association....and to go to file folder options.

Help Please.

has he downloaded the viewer and installed OK ?

if so he may need to associate the file powerpoint with the viewer

if you right click on the powerpoint file and then choose open with - custom you should be able to associate there
