i have windows me and now i cant change my resolution and any picture thats not a solid color is pixalated like you are in safe mode.. but im not..i would be so greatful to any ony genius enough to tell me how to fix this...tech support at microsoft is expensive and no help .

Is your computer a brand name like a Dell or Compaq? If so post the model which will be marked on the outside of the case.

If its a custom system use that Everest program from the link above in Etaf's post. In Everest look under Devices -> Physical Devices for a video/display/graphics adaptor or card.

In Everest did you look under look under Devices -> Physical Devices for a video/display/graphics adaptor or card? Something liek ATI or Nvidia maybe?

Not sure it Everest will list the GPU without a driver installed but there should be a GPU(Video) section as well. What does it list there?

Triple, would Dxdiag tell you what you need to know?

Probably not, it only displays the adaptor name if it is installed and its the correct driver. Everest can look at the PnP ID of the card to identify it regardless of driver in the Physical Devices section.
