I'm connected via Ethernet and I get this error intermittently and it's usually 5-10 lines. I've pinged both googles DNS and my own IP address and it happened at the same time. I've tried power cycling and disabling my anti virus/firewall. Have no updates for my adapter. I've also tried the following command prompts.
  • ipconfig/release
  • ipconfig/renew
  • ipconfig /flushdns
  • netsh int ip reset c:\tcp.txt
  • netsh winsock reset
I also tried a new Ethernet cord and different ports on my modem. None of these have seemed to do anything. Any help would be appreciated.

I only have Windows Defender Firewall and the free version of Avast so it doesn't have a firewall.
For some reason I have 2 Windows Defender Folders in different hard drives, could that be it?

You can now reinstall Avast (if you want it) and have no problems with it until the next time. Odds are that the next time will be months or years from now, but no guarantee of course.

It's possible that Avast got an update that got corrupted in the process. If you install Avast fresh from their site, more than likely that it should work fine, but if not then you would want to contact their support team to find out why your computer is being affected with their program.
