I recently purchased Elements 3 (Mac) and a third party reference book. The reference book is tailored more for Windows users. The directions given for creating a copyright symbol don't work for me. Is there a different way to generate the symbol with an iMac or isn't it possible?

How are you generating the symbol now?? I do not have a MAC but I would think that the application would be the same.

Select the SHAPE TOOL then,CUSTOM SHAPES, SYMBOLS. Select the copyright symbol & drag in your picture.

For more detail see CHOOSING A CUSTOM SHAPE in PhotoShop help.

For what it worth, I found that "Photoshop Elements 3 for Dummies" was an excellent learning tool when I first got started.

I usually just hit alt+0169 using the numbers key pad to generate the copy right symbol on my photos in elements but I guess this won't work for a mac. I found this info if it helps.

How to make a Copyright C Symbol on a Mac (©):

This should work for all Mac keyboards when you need to type a copyright symbol.

Hold down Option at the same time and press g Option+g
